Acrylic panel lift in wholesale club

Vertical lifts are manufactured to service a height of 14 feet (over 12 feet usually requires a variance). Many two-story building lobbies, choir lofts, warehouse offices, movie theatres and stadiums use vertical lifts in lieu of commercial elevators.

The most common type of vertical lift is the self-enclosed toe-guard model. A 42 inch cab telescopes out of the hoistway to meet a stationary 42 inch upper landing gate. All gates are interlocked so that they cannot be opened unless the platform is at the appropriate level.

Common vertical lift characteristics are:

bulletTwo person, 750lb. capacity limitation
bulletPerfect mezzanine accessibility solution
bulletAvailable to serve elevations to 14’3"
bulletCode limits to 12’ – waiver required to 14’ 3"
bulletAvailable to serve two or three stops
bulletState of Florida requires all two-story buildings to be accessible… but not necessarily with use of an elevator
bulletCan be installed in their own Plexiglas and steel/aluminum enclosure
bulletHoistway or enclosure must be solid walls – no open rails
bulletMinimal 3" pit or no pit with stationary ramp
bulletSelf-contained – no machine room
bulletPlain & functional or customized
bulletUpper landing requires minimum 42" enclosure
bulletOutdoor full-height Plexiglas enclosure with dome requires forced ventilation system
bulletLower level automatic fold-up gates are not code compliant anymore
bulletTravel distance must be concealed at lower level with platform is elevated
bullet"Toe-guard" style is achievable with lower door or double gates
bulletFive square feet of "turnaround" space required at each entrance/exit
bulletCab configurations: straight through, enter/exit same side, 90 degree on/off
